James
Marsters first hit BtVS, back in Season 2, as a
recurring role, which turned into a series regular
by Season 4.
James
was born in the town of Greenville, CA, but raised
in Modesto, CA. His full name is: James Wesley
Marsters. He was born on August 20th, 1969. He
has one brother and one sister, and his father
used to be a minister. His first stage appearence
was in a grade 4 production of "Winnie the
Pooh" as 'Eyeore'.

then went on to study acting at Julliard, but was
kicked out. Apparently they didnt like him.
He also studied at: the Pacific Conservatory of
the Performing Arts, and the American Conservatory
Theatre. Some of his stage performances include:
"The Tempest" and "Red Noses"
at the Goodman Theater in Chicago. He co-founded
the Genesis Theatre Company, it was very successful.
Plus, in 2000, he stared in an original play titled
"The Why," produced by Noah Wyle. |

James enjoys playing the guitar (15
years), singing, writing, watching football,
spenting time with his friends and family, as well
as and working on his car, a black chrome 1965 Ford
Mustang. Plus he's left handed. |

His on-screen debut was a guest starring role on
"Northern Exposure." It inspired him to
move to Los Angeles. Within months he was playing
Spike, on BtVS. Other guest spots include: "Millenieum",
"Strange Frequency", and "Gene Roddenberry's
Andromeda" - 'Into the Labyrinth' to air in
November, he will be playing: 'Archduke Charlemange
Bolivar', he's a Nietzschean. |

James also had a small part in the feature film:
"House on Haunted Hill," where he played
a camera man, near the beginning. |

James' favourite music bands are: Tom Waits,
Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Nirvana.
