Well
This is the first season with James Marsters as
Spike, so it's rather exciting for Spike fans.
So in this season we have the pleasure of meeting
Spike and Drusilla, and at this time, that Angel
is Spike's sire. (Story changes
later) Angel has a moment of true happiness,
his curse is broken and he loses his soul. Then
we meet Angelus the 'evil' Angel, if you will.

Guess
who's back, Brian Thompson, who Played Luke in Season
1, now plays The Judge. It's Written that no weapon
forged can stop him. Well maybe back then, but this
is the 90's. There's bigger, badder weapons now.
Another Slayer? Okay so technically Buffy was dead
for a few minutes at the end of Season 1 so, Kendra
was made the new Slayer.
We meet Miss Jenny Calendar and learn she is related
to the gypsies that cursed Angel. And we get to
witness Angelus torture many citizens of SunnyD,
before the season ends.

By
the Season's two part ending it's pretty tragic.
Already killed by Angelus is Jenny Calendar but
her final gift is found in part one: The Becoming.
By a deja vu of sorts which Buffy's being tutored
by Willow in Jenny's old class room. A disk. But
not just any disk, the disk contenting the restoration
of Angel's soul. Angelus decides he needs Giles,
so the Vamps attack those in the library, while
Angelus distracts Buffy. Willow's knocked out,
Xander's right arm gets broken, Cordellia flees,
Dru kills Kendra and they get Giles.
Part two: Spike and Buffy team up to stop Angelus
and save the world. Willow wakes up and decides
to try to restore Angel's soul again. Cordy and
Oz help with that. While Xander goes to help Buffy.
Xander gets Giles out and Spike heads out of town
with Dru. But Buffy is faced with Acathla opening
the vortex to Hell and then Angel regaining his
soul. The only way to stop it is to send Angel
to hell.
